Volunteering

Botancial survey at Durborough

Volunteering was a key part of the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme and there were many and varied volunteering opportunities to get involved with. Although the projects have come to their conclusion, volunteers continue to contribute to the Quantock Hills National Landscape roles and programme. Here is a good way to see opportunities within the Quantock Hills National Landscape: Volunteering

During the QLPS there was something to get involved with across a wide range of projects, such as restoring hedgerows, historic features, and traditional orchards through to educational work with local schools, archaeological excavations, archival research, and a wide ranging and inclusive events programme.

The scheme also offered regular training and talks for our volunteering community. Our social channels were also a great opportunity to stay see the work the volunteering team did. A good way to stay informed and join the conversation around the wider work the Quantock Hills do is to join the Quantock Hills National Landscape social channels too.

Alternatively, you can sign up here to receive the Quantock Hills National Landscape Volunteer Newsletter which includes news, events and opportunities to get involved.

Below is a list of volunteering opportunities that were specific to the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme.
Volunteering with the QLPS was shared with the Quantock Hills National Landscape and volunteers therefore become part of the wider Quantock Hills National Landscape volunteer family. For more information on Quantock Hills National Landscape volunteering please see Volunteering
