February Photo Walk: 12/02/25

Published by Jon Barrett on

Come on our February Photo Walk exploring the stunning snowdrops and scenes from North Petherton to King’s Cliff.

This Short Route is a 6.5km (4 mile) walk and has a mixture of terrain, from woodlands to some lanes and local footpaths.

On our Photo Walks it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a fancy camera or technical expertise, it’s about appreciating your surroundings and finding somewhere in nature that you can immerse yourself. The camera is a fantastic tool to encourage you to slow down and focus your attention, it’s a mindfulness exercise and can be a very relaxing process.

Our Short Route Photo Walk is for anyone who would like a dose of nature, but would like a leisurely chance to stretch the legs. The group will walk at a moderate pace, creating a visual record of what we see on the walk, however, stoppages will be limited.

Start time:

10am

What to bring:

Hiking boots, or stout walking boots (our walks can be wet underfoot with mixed terrain)

Water (recommended 1 litre), snacks or packed lunch.

Terrain:

A gentle walk, with some steeper hill sections (manageable), sometimes muddy underfoot, some rockier paths underfoot and exposed roots.

Safety:

Our Short Route Photo Walks are designed to be walked at a moderate pace. It’s about taking in the photographic moments and being in nature, exercising gentle health for our mental health, but we will be mindful of reaching our destination in good time.
