What to bring:

Hiking boots, or stout walking boots (our walks can be wet underfoot with mixed terrain)

Water (recommended 1 litre)

Terrain:

A gentle walk, with some steeper hill sections (manageable), sometimes muddy underfoot, some lanes to walk along.

Safety:

Our Short Route Photo Walks are designed to be walked at a moderate pace. It’s about taking in the photographic moments and being in nature, exercising gentle health for our mental health, but we will be mindful of reaching our destination in good time. Participants are responsible for their own health and safety. If you are unsure, please contact us and we’ll be happy to share details about the walk. jonathan.barrett@somerset.gov.uk

Participants are responsible for wearing suitable footwear & clothing for the environment. Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves and the suitability of any equipment used.

Any medical conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the walk leader/facilitator prior to the start of the walk.

Dogs:

Dogs are welcome, however, please notify us if you plan on bringing your dog/s. We ask that where there are livestock grazing, and fields, dogs must be on leads. Please observe the Countryside Code, and please respect other dog owners and fellow walkers. We cannot guarantee that every stile is suitable for dogs.
