Quantock Hills Photo Walk: Long Route 17.02.24

Published by Jon Barrett on

Join us for a social Saturday circular walk from Dead Woman’s Ditch Car Park.

February can be a silent month for wildlife – winter is scouring the land; it looks naked and clean. Things lie dormant, however, there is plenty of activity beneath the surface and new life running high this time of year. Search for snowdrops or scarlet elf cups, catkins and primroses, and find signs of spring emerging across the countryside.

On our Quantock Hills Photo Walks it doesn’t matter if you don’t have a fancy camera or technical expertise, it’s about appreciating your surroundings and finding somewhere in nature that you can immerse yourself. The camera is a fantastic tool to encourage you to slow down and focus your attention, it’s a mindfulness exercise and can be a very relaxing process.

This Long Route is roughly 8km (3.5 mile) walk, plus extra for stoppages along the route.
