Discovering Dragons: Find the Dragon’s Eggs. 13.04.23

Explore the hills this Easter holiday… If you’ve ever wondered where dragons dwell, what a wurm actually is, and why a wyvern is winged, then this is the event for you!
Join the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme’s Historic Heritage Officer, Dan Broadbent, as we take you on a walking tour of the dragon’s den of the Quantocks. Search for clues and find the eggs around the secret lair of Shervage Wood.
We’ll unpack some of the mystery and myths surrounding these enigmatic beasts in an enthralling exploration of hidden heritage on the hills – and maybe we’ll unpack our own dragon eggs in the process?
The walk will be approximately 2.5 miles long. Please wear warm clothing and sensible footwear for a walk in the woods. Discover the enchanted woodlands of the Quantock Hills National Landscape and head for the hills this Easter holiday.
Full info will be sent before the event. Any questions about the event please email jonathan.barrett@somerset.gov.uk
