15th September 2021. Wilmots Pool Car Park

Positive People and Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme present a walk and photography session for anyone interested in improving their snapshots and photographs taken during a walk.

Starting at 10:30am we will take a gradual downhill walk from the Wilmot’s Pool Car Park on the Quantock Hills and journey down to Nether Stowey, looking for opportunities to photograph our immediate surroundings along the way, with help and professional assistance.

There is a £2 booking fee for this event which will contribute to the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme, with all proceeds going back into the development of future events.

This session is aimed at people looking to improve their handheld camera skills, using a smartphone. No additional equipment necessary.

The session will aim to take in countryside and communities, with a particular look at some of the themes explored in the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme’s open Photography competition: Village Life; People of the Quantocks; Quantock Working.

We will look at preparing images for competition and how to take stunning and memorable photos with just your mobile phone!

We encourage people to bring their own refreshments and water, but the walk will be short and manageable. Around 1.5 hours walking in total – and a bus has been arranged to bring everyone back to their cars at the end.

Interested? Book here.

There will also be a follow-up session online a week later showing you how to edit your photographs and make them competition ready. More information will be available at the session. We can’t wait to see you and your photographs!
