Bill’s (Not-so-scary) Nightwalk: 7th December 7:30pm

Come and explore the darkness! A walk by moonlight from Lydeard Hill car park to Will’s Neck to mark the full moon.
If you’ve not been nightwalking before, it’s an entirely different experience to walking in the daytime. All your senses are on alert, the night-time noises are different to daytime sounds, and if we’re lucky there will be stars to see too. Come and join me, Bill Jenman, Project Manager for the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme as we go on a ‘not-so-scary’ night walk.
Please note that this event will involve walking for around 3 miles on uneven ground at night without torches – please don’t book if you’re not comfortable with that. The walk is intended for adults and we request that dogs stay at home – the nature of the walk is intended to bring an undisturbed experience for everyone attending, and we would like to foster an environment that is sensitive to everyone’s engagement, to allow our senses to flourish.
Start time 19.30, duration around 2 hours. In the event that the weather is horrible we will postpone until January 5th. Walking at night in the rain isn’t much fun, and the inside of one cloud looks exactly like the inside of any other!
Full joining information will be sent nearer the time after booking. Any questions about the event, please ask jonathan.barrett@somerset.gov.uk
