Photo Walk: Somerset’s Perfect Hedgerow, Wed 9th Nov

Published by Jon Barrett on

Join our Photo Walk on Wednesday 9th November and take a tour across the beautiful Quantock Hills as we go in search of Somerset’s perfect hedgerow with Quantock Hills Ranger, Andy Stevenson.

You’ll get the chance to enter your photos into a seasonal competition run by FWAG Southwest (Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group), with entries closing in December, as they look to find Somerset’s Perfect Hedgerow.

After capturing the art of hedgerows we’ll continue our photo walk across the surrounding area and take in some of the charming and historic features of this enchanting location.

The walk will be short, roughly up to 3 miles, across flatter terrain, but in grassy areas (lots of which could be wet underfoot, so please wear suitable footwear). Please bring your own lunch and water/snacks for the journey. You don’t need to be a photographer to take part, or even own a camera… the photo walk welcomes beginners and cameraphone enthusiasts alike, as well as anyone experienced with photography. The group is a social and inclusive walking community, getting out and experiencing the hills, and capturing experiences along the way.

Each of our Photo Walks take us to new areas around the Quantock Hills and this walk is part of a monthly programme of themed Photo Walks. See our website for past examples www.qlps.org/events-new
